I absolutely love this: "We know when we finally see where we’re going we’ll still have to stop and do repairs. Tweak it some. Make it worthy of the destination. Wherever it takes us, we know we’re ultimately in charge and we’re doing it as artists."
It's interesting because I read your article this morning. About an hour later, my son texted about writing a new newsletter on Substack on a current project he is developing and was doubting the decision. Your words came through - I said you have a story to tell - tell it.
Thank you Ramona! I needed a pep talk today as well so appreciated this post. The reminder to show up fully as myself is what I needed to hear. I have been away from my desk on and off all month which makes me feel out of the loop. Inside I'm wondering what I missed (nothing, life and Substack carry right on without little old me), am I good enough to take a seat at the table once more (I am neither better, or worse than I was a month ago so sit right down and say Hi), why am I doing this (so I can continue to show up as myself to grow and hopefully offer my readers something they value).
See - your pep talk worked (and a month later I still don't know my grammar and punctuation!).

Thanks, Lev. I don’t think we can emphasize enough that all good writing requires repairs.
Repairs is such an apt choice.
Hi, I think you were the one who taught me this lesson so well, "Write what you write." and for me I am writing what is in my heart.
Writing from the heart is such a liberating concept. I’m glad we both took the leap! ❤️

Glad to help, Donna. But you’re already in good hands!
There is immense value in your advice, Mona.
Thank you!
Love the pillow and the post.
The pillow speaks! Thanks, Ramona.
It does! Thanks, Elizabeth.
That's a nice pep talk. I love that pillow!!! 👏🏼
Amen, sister, on the reminder at the end. Just what this Writer with a capital W needed!
