Yesterday, I sent you part I of my exchange with Holly Starley , who operates a blog called Holly Starley’s Rolling Desk, a clever take-off, since she lives most of the year vagabonding in her van.
Yesterday, I made comment on Constant Commoner, so today I'll leave some reflections here. What I most want to know is when you and Holly plan to meet in person? Is Holly rolling Ruby into your neck of the woods when her winter cabin-time is done? Are you teaming up for a week in the van?
In all seriousness, this has been a fun conversation to follow, and I love how the two of you have found ways to highlight your strengths in the questions you asked and answered. The work you each have planned is laudable, though I admit that it feels like a stage I'll never be able to get to. Trying to focus on the potential!
Sorry I'm so late with this. Caught some sort of respiratory thing last weekend and I'm just now feeling human again.
I would love it but I'd be surprised if Holly and I every found ourselves near enough to meet in person. But that's what I love so much about these online encounters. Any of us can meet up and become friends while living in the farthest reaches of the planet. It's wonderful!
Thanks for joining in. And for being one of those friends! ❤️
I think a lot of us are in the same boat! I guess I wouldn't know that if we all weren't talking about it. That's the beauty of the internet. We find our peeps and we can have these conversations, no matter where we are. 💕
Thanks for sharing Part 2 of this great conversation.
Ramona, I appreciate that you see yourself as the den mother of a bunch of writers as I think we all look up to you with respect for your writing and life wisdom. I REALLY (shouty words) appreciate your suggestion of how to show up bravely. I'm writing them down to read frequently.
Holly, I am envious (in a good way) of your content plan and how you are linking essays together to service the whole. That is a task I want to do, to sit down and pull it together for myself. I think doing so will offer clarity for my work and yet I am struggling to get it done.
Sleeping in the car on a road trip makes me feel both cozy & free, a little bit nervous & a lot exhilarated. Thanks for these interesting interviews!
I remember sleeping in the car on road trips as a kid. I think it was more fun for us than for our parents!

Thank you, both! Thank you.

My pleasure, Ramona. And the same to you!
Can so identify with the vulnerable you feel as you get older and just are not as physically capable as you once were.

Thanks so much, Donna! Your words mean a lot to me. Thank you for being here! 💙
